Fifteen years in the same corner of the stack

JAYC Consultancy was founded after fifteen years working in analytics and technical marketing. The pattern that kept repeating: talented marketing teams making confident decisions on data that was quietly, structurally wrong — and no one in the building with the time or the remit to prove it.

We started because that problem is specialised enough to need a specialist, and common enough that almost nobody has one in-house.

How we work, and why

• Audit before you build. We won't quote for an implementation before we've seen your setup. Rebuilding on a broken foundation is the most expensive mistake in this field, and it's the most common.
• Write everything down. Measurement plans, data layer specs, container documentation. Tracking knowledge that lives in one person's head is a liability — including when that person is us.
• Say no to work that won't pay for itself. Server-side tagging isn't right for everyone. Nor is BigQuery. We'd rather lose a project than sell you infrastructure you'll resent paying for in eight months.
• Leave you able to run it. Every engagement ends with documentation and training. If you need us indefinitely, we've done the job badly.

What we won't do

We won't implement tracking that we think breaks UK GDPR or PECR, and we'll tell you if we think your current setup already does. We won't sell server-side tagging as a consent workaround, because it isn't one. And we won't take on work where nobody internally will own the result afterwards — it doesn't stick, and neither of us ends up happy.

Who we work with

Right now we work as a technical specialist alongside the digital marketing agency Croud, supporting its clients with GA4 and GTM audits, technical project delivery, implementation and troubleshooting.
